There are many different styles of rehab programs for heroin addiction available in California. It is important for you to find the right treatment center to handle your heroin detox and usage. Finding treatment for heroin addiction in California can be a difficult task due to the sheer amount of treatment centers available in the state. California is a mecca for high-cost treatment centers and heroin drug rehabs, due to the location and available amenities in California. Finding affordable treatment for heroin addiction is what we do best. Addiction No More understands that not everyone can afford to send their son or daughter to a luxury-type program for heroin addiction. Most people need to find an effective treatment for their heroin addiction at a cost that won’t bankrupt a household.

Low-cost treatment for heroin addiction does not mean that the treatment is sub-par at the facility. Most Heroin rehabilitation centers will offer a detox before you enter the therapy portion of their program.  The programs that are lower cost, offer the same type of therapy that a higher cost program offers less some of the amenities that are offered at a high-end heroin treatment center.

Heroin addiction has taken a dramatic turn for the worse, in the demography that it seems to be targeting. More young adults in California are now using heroin, according to the DEA. This trend is due in part, to the recent change in the purity of the drug coming in from Mexico. Heroin Detox Centers in California

Treating heroin addiction in California will involve many steps to make the recovery process effective. For most people, there will be a need for a medical detox to alleviate the symptoms of Heroin withdrawal.

Heroin addiction can sometimes include other drugs, so it is very important to make sure that you disclose all of the drugs you are currently using and have taken in the past 6 months. This will help the detox center for heroin addiction, better diagnose and prescribe the best medications to make your detox go smoothly and as pain-free as possible. Do not try to detox on your own. Heroin withdrawal can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the length of heroin use and the amount of heroin being abused on a daily basis.

Inpatient Heroin Rehabs

Detox should be followed by an extensive stay at a Heroin Inpatient treatment program. Private Inpatient drug rehabs offer the best results for long-lasting sobriety from a Heroin addiction. Addiction No More can help you locate a detox center, and an inpatient drug rehab for heroin addiction today.

Most of the people who have fought with heroin addiction have one thing in common: They recovered from their addiction at an inpatient heroin rehab center. Some people can find sobriety in an outpatient treatment program but due to the temptations and availability to go find heroin, this type of program is less effective in treating the addiction as a whole.  The typical stay for someone recovering from heroin addiction can vary from center to center and usually consists of 30-90 day programs. We have a list of the best heroin treatment centers in California. Call us today and we can help you locate a drug rehab center in California today.

Heroin addiction medications and uses

Sometimes a medical intervention can be used to help wean a person off of heroin at a slower rate, alleviating the withdrawal symptoms normally associated with heroin detox.

Buprenorphine: Being an opioid, Buprenorphine accesses the same receptors in the brain that heroin interacts with. This allows for a seemingly painless transition while managing cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Methadone: Over the last few decades, this drug has become a bit controversial due to the fact that the body can build up a tolerance quickly if taken too often and is under investigation for being potentially addictive. Methadone is considerably stronger than Buprenorphine but works in the same manner, offering alleviated symptoms from withdrawal.

Naltrexone: Designed to block opioid receptors, blocking the effects that would normally take place once Heroin or an opioid is entered into the system. Also used in treating alcoholism.

Suboxone: Specifically designed to work in combination with Buprenorphine and Naltrexone. This combination of drugs not only manages the addiction, but also alleviates the temptation to use heroin due to the opioid-blocking drug Naltrexone.

Addiction Stats for the State of California

Los Angeles health officials announced recently, that heroin deaths are on the rise in the county. Other counties in the southern portion of California, are seeing the same trends. The Heroin problem is rising steadily but officials state the prescription pill problem is still their number one priority.

Opioid deaths and heroin deaths are steadily increasing and there is starting to become a shift from expensive prescriptions to a much cheaper alternative in Heroin. Addiction rates among teens and young adults have been of great concern and spotting the signs of early heroin dependency can save your child’s life.

Last year there were 46 deaths reported that were listed as heroin overdoses in L.A. County alone. This is down from the 2010 number of 225 heroin-related deaths, in 2012 the total was 29 so there is a noticeable increase and it is of concern to officials.

Both counties of Riverside and Orange County have actually seen a decrease in heroin-related incidents and deaths, but pharmaceutical abuse and deaths have skyrocketed out of control over the past few years. The last year data has been available for is the year 2010 and the reported opioid deaths reached a staggering 1100 deaths in the state of California.
